Solar Bird Repellent Device
I. Overview
On power transmission towers in rural areas, you can often see small black spots at the connections of metal structures, which are the nests of nearby birds. For power grid inspectors, whenever they find birds building nests on towers during inspections, they need to climb up to remove them. This is because materials used in these bird nests may fall onto hardware fittings, line clamps, and other components, which can easily cause fires and lead to line tripping, severely undermining the stability of power transmission in the area. To address this issue, Telikang has developed a Solar Bird Repellent Device. After installing this device on a tower, birds within the surrounding hemispherical range will mostly be driven away, let alone building nests.
II. Working Principle
The Telikang Solar Bird Repellent Device uses a combination of four modes—strong light strobing, ultrasonic waves, MP3 gunshot sounds, and MP3 eagle calls—to repel birds. In addition, it is equipped with a biological detector. Once a bird enters the radar monitoring range, it will immediately trigger an alarm, which helps achieve the goal of bird repelling while reducing equipment wear and extending its service life.

IV. Postscript
Power transmission lines sometimes run above forested areas. To facilitate inspection by operation and maintenance personnel and prevent trees from growing too fast and affecting the stability of line operation, trees around the lines are usually transplanted to other places. As a result, birds that rely on forests for survival have no choice but to build their nests on power transmission towers. To solve the bird damage problem without harming birds, Telikang has abandoned traditional devices such as bird spikes and developed the Solar Bird Repellent Device based on the instinct of organisms to seek advantages and avoid disadvantages. This device combines multiple non-contact bird repelling methods, so there will be no situation where the bird repelling effect is reduced because birds adapt to a certain repelling method. It is currently one of the most widely used bird prevention devices in power grids, and its bird repelling effect has been proven reliable.
